Compare journals

The journal directory covers 235 titles: 233 journals and two book series. Search by title, publisher, ISSN or index, filter the catalogue and sort each data column. Select a journal name for its official homepage, full fee conditions and the sources behind its profile.

The overview brings journal lists, citation measures, publisher and index coverage together. Separate citation and submission views make room for publication output, decision times, acceptance rates and open-access charges where these are reported.

Sources, years and coverage

The snapshot checked on 30 October 2026 includes official Scopus 2025 CiteScores for all 235 titles and 585 category-rank observations. Each rank retains its category, denominator and year. Web of Science membership is confirmed for 227 titles in Clarivate's Master Journal List; eight remain unconfirmed.

Every value keeps its source and year or reporting period. Unavailable fields remain labelled. The column guide explains the measures, SCI and SCIE terminology, and the distinction between a submission fee and an open-access publication charge.

Reading the measures

FT membership, ABDC ratings, Journal Impact Factors and SJR are independent measures with different purposes. A high citation score does not establish a journal's standing in a field, and a Q1 label depends on the category, metric and year. These measures inform judgement about a journal; they are not a universal tenure rule.

Fees retain their original currencies and eligibility rules. First decision and decision after review are different stages. Acceptance rates keep the population and period reported by their source.

Keeping the directory current

Monthly source checks track new ranking editions, citation measures, index coverage and publisher policies. Proposed changes are staged for review before the directory is updated. A new check date does not change a metric's underlying year.
